Wisconsin, US (November 17, 2012): According to media reports two young students from St. Francis de Sales Parish School in Lake Geneva were honored on November 15, 2012 for their courageous actions during the terror strike at the Sikh Gurudwara Sahib of Wisconsin in Oak Creek.
Siblings Abhay and Amanat Singh who are in 4th and 6th grades at St. Francis, were outside of the Gurudwara Sahib on the day of incident when Michel Wade Page, a neo-nazi, approached the Gurudwara Sahib and opening fire.
According to Fox6Now news report Abhay said: “We just went out for some fresh air, and then we were just playing and having some jokes.

Then all of the sudden, we see a guy coming out of his car. And usually, we thought maybe he needs help, or needs directions. And then, all of the sudden, he speed-walks and starts firing”.
Both reportedly alerted others inside the Gurudwaras Sahib. It is believed that quick response by these students saved many lives, otherwise there might have been more causalities.
“The 11-year-old and his nine-year-old sister, Amanat, were playing outside the temple when they spotted the shooter who would eventually kill six and wound four others before police say he killed himself” it adds.

The gunman had killed six Sikh worshippers and wounded four others. According to police the striker killed himself after being shot by the police..
According to ABC57 News: “The siblings received certificates from the Davidson Yell and Tell Foundation. The foundation teaches young children what to do when in a dangerous situation”.
