Chandigarh: Reacting on the row in Parliament over Aam Aadmi Party’s Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann’s making video inside the Indian Parliament, State Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Sucha Singh Chhotepur today said that it was not aimed to breach the security of parliament, rather to aware the public about the procedure through which the questions are selected to be raised in the Lok Sabha.
“People always expect that their MP should raise their issues in Parliament and Mann wanted to aware them about the procedure of draw system, through which out of more than 150 questions only 20 are selected to be raised on the particular day in Lok Sabha, which makes an MP helpless to raise question regarding his constituency”, Chhotepur clarified.
He condemned the BJP-SAD and Congress for making issue out of non-issue in the Parliament and giving it political colours in a bid to divert the attention of lawmakers from other key issues like atrocities on Dalits in Gujarat, violence in Kashmir, row over adverse remarks against BSP Supremo Mayawati by BJP leader and missing of an Air Force Plane, which might have brought embarrassment for Modi Government.
Even Congress also failed to perform the role of strong opposition party, which could be evident from the fact that when serious debate on the issue of atrocities against Dalits in Gujarat was going on, National Vice President of Congress, Rahul Gandhi was caught napped, AAP leader said.
Rather there was no secret entry from Vijay Chowk to Parliament, which MP Bhagwant Mann has revealed causing any breach to the security to Parliament, Chhotepur said adding that such type of videos are easily available on ‘Google Earth” too and could be seen while sitting at any place in the world.
Bhagwant Mann has emerged one of the most vocal MP of Punjab, who always raised the issues related to the state in a strong voice in Parliament, Chhotepur said that success of Mann as an MP in Parliament caused unrest among the BJP-SAD-Congress combine, which made them frustrated resulting in hatching of conspiracy to defame AAP MP.
People of Punjab are smart enough to understand this ‘political gimmick’ by these parties and have already made up their minds to give them a befitting reply in 2017 assembly polls, Chhotepur added.
