Arvind Kejriwal visits the family of murdered Sangrur journalist

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today visited the residence of journalist, who was reportedlyshot dead by the SAD (Badal) Councillor, to express condolence.

“Law & order situation in Punjab has stooped new law, which could be evident of the spree of murders by Liquor Mafia and murder of Kewal Krishan, a journalist by a Badal Dal Councillors”, Arvind Kejriwal said adding that situation has become so worse that even the journalists are not safe in Punjab.

As per a press release by the Aam Aadmi Party [w]hen the victim family apprised visiting Delhi Chief Minister that marriage of the daughter of deceased Kewal Krishan was fixed for November 26, Arvind Kejriwal said “Punjab Government should provide adequate compensation to the family to enable them to solemnize marriage of the victim’s daughter apart from delivering justice.

“Leave apart the accused Badal Dal Councillor, who was under the influence of power hangover, but even the criminals have no fear of Police”, Kejriwal alleged. He maintained that the Badals have let their goons loose to shoot anybody, what if, the victim is happen to be a journalist.

Later on, Kejriwal visited Satauj, native village of party MP Bhagwant Mann and directly drove down to the residences of three youth, who were recently died due to electrocution.

Three youth identified as Binder Singh, Buta Singh and Gurjant Singh were electrocuted to death recently, when they were working the field and high tension wire fell on them.
