Bhagwant Mann mocks Badals’ announcement to contest UP polls

Chandigarh: After announcement of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) to contest upcoming Vidhan Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, Aam Aadmi Party MP from Sangrur Bhagwant Mann mocked Badals and said that fearing defeat the Badal seems to have decided to flee to UP.

Criticising Badals for referring to AAP’s central leaders as outsiders in Punjab, Bhagwant Mann asked that how Badals would explain their position in the Uttar Pradesh.

In a press statement issued by AAP today, Bhagwant Mann maintained that the people of Punjab are fed up with the anti-people policies of Badals in last 9 years and they are ready to dethrone the ruling party in upcoming elections in 2017. He said that now the Badals are looking for a safe place to hide after the election defeat but AAP government with the help of the common people of Punjab will put these leaders behind the bar.

Notably, SAD Badal chief Sukhbir Badal had annoucned yesterday that the Badal Dal is planning to contest 40-45 seats in Uttar Pradesh. (see more at – SAD Badal will contest UP assembly polls: Sukhbir Badal)
