Oak Creek, Milwaukee (September 08, 2012): There are reports that Bhai Punjab Singh (65) who was shot during the August 5, 2012 massacre at Sikh Gurudwara named “Sikh Temple” in Oak Creek, Milwaukee (United States) is making a slow and gradual recovery. This information was provided by Bhai Punjab Singh’s family in a statement released through hospital authorities.
“Our beloved father, Punjab Singh, was severely injured on that terrible August day. Despite the heroic efforts of emergency responders at the scene and the medical care he received from trauma specialists and other doctors at Froedtert Hospital, he has not fully recovered,” it said.
According to information Bhai Punjab Singh shifted from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as his condition is considered stable and improving gradually.
Bhai Punjab Singh’s family said they are grateful for the many messages of support they have received.
Froedtert Hospital officials are reported to have said that Bhai Punjab Singh’s condition was upgraded to serious on Wednesday (September 05, 2012), and that he was transferred out of the intensive care unit.
Bhai Punjab Singh is reported have suffered a single gunshot wound to the face that caused facial fractures and damage to his right carotid and vertebral artery when a 40-year-old White Supremacist named Wade M. Page hit terror bin Sikh Gurudwara, killing six Sikh worshippers and wounding three on August 5, 2012.
