Phagwara: Around a dozen leaders of Shiv Sena Samajvadi have reportedly resigned from their posts citing provocative activities to the Hindutva outfit that has led to tensions between Sikh organizations and activists of the Shiv Sena. Notably after a Shiv Sena leader was killed in a road accident in few days back, the Shiv Sena had started targeting Sikh passersby.
Kapil Verma and Honey Singh of Shiv Sena Samajvadi said that the party (Shiv Sena) was trying to create disturbance in Punjab. Duo said that around a dozen leaders of Shiv Sena have decided to resign from the Shiv Sena to protest against wrongful policies of the outfit. Kapil Verma was chairman of Punjab Youth Shiv Sena (Samajvadi) and Honey Singh was North India general secretary of the Shiv Sena Samajvadi.
Other Shiv Sena leaders and activists who have tendered their resignations include Shiv Sena youth vice-president Rajnish Gill, Parkash Chandar vice-president (Punjab) and Sunil Bunty (district president), Parvinder, Mofi Dogra, Sonu Thapar, Sunny Bhatti, Ajay Verma, Rahul, Ranjit, Jhony, Arun, Vishal, Raaj Billa Jagga, Rohit, Ankit, Franky Verma and Karan.
