New Delhi: A day after Aam Adami Party’s (AAP) debacle in the Municipal Council Delhi election, one of the preliminary members and senior leaders of the party Sanjay Singh & Durgesh Pathak here on Thursday resigned as in-charge & co-incharge of the Punjab affairs.
The co-incharge Durgesh Pathak following Sanjay Singh also resigned from his post, both the leaders has submitted their respective resignations to the party convener Arvind Kejriwal, said the media sources.
It is widely believed that the fiasco in the Punjab state assembly election, which lead to growing unrest among the party’s Punjab unit leadership against consistent interference by Delhi based leaders of the AAP along with poor performance in the Delhi Municipal Council election forced both of them to step down.
“I have submitted my resignation from the post of Punjab in-charge to Arvind Kejriwal. Durgesh (Pathak) has also resigned from his co-incharge post for the state,” reads a quote from a tweet posted by Sanjay Singh.
