Chandigarh: Reacting sharply on the allegedly interference of Congress leaders in transfers of police and civil officers in state, Aam Aadmi Party on Friday warned them to stop demoralizing the officer for their personal agenda.
In a press release issued today, Aam Aadmi Party senior leader and leader of opposition in vidhan sabha, Adv. H.S. Phoolka said that congress leaders are behaving worse than Akali leaders and preventing government officials to perform their duty effectively.
H S Phoolka alleged that Congress leaders are indulging in the vendetta politics and pressurizing the police officers to register bogus cases on the political opponents. He said that the news reports of interference and unhappiness of minister Rana gurjit Singh, MLA Pargat Singh and Sukhjinder Randhawa over the transfers in police department shows that they themselves have no faith in their own government.
AAP leader said that the government must form a policy for the transfers and postings of the police and civil officers and it should be on the basis of merit. He said that rather than getting their favorite officers on desired posts, the government must focus on correcting the law and order situation in the state.
