Lucknow: After being at the helms of the affairs for more then two weeks the pro hindutva leader and Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath is yet to set up his bureaucratic machinery in the state, normally with change in government there is witnessed a major reshuffle in the administrative set up of the state.

Media sources indicate that the Hindutva outfit the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh’s (RSS) cadre and its top leadership would be assisting Adityanath in selecting the officers for him, in the same way he was elevated to the post of Chief Ministership by the outfit last month.
It is being reported by the media that from Monday on wards he will sit through departmental presentations in which officer will detail their plans to implement the ruling party’s poll promises.
The exercise that could last two weeks would not only give Adityanath a chance to assess officers but was also aimed at boosting the party’s prospects in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, notes Hindustan Times (HT).
Uttar Pradesh sends the highest – 80 – members to the Lok Sabha and played a big role in the BJP’s sweep of the 2014 general elections.
In order to carry forward the hindutva agenda of the RSS through forged and reinvented curriculum the education department of the state would be the priority of the Yogi Adityanath government. Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma who is also the education minister along with, technical education minister Ashutosh Tandon and minister of state for education Sandeep Singh are expected to attend Monday evening’s presentation.
As the RSS is the ideological fountain head of the BJP, about which it is often said that it is following the Hindutva agenda of its mentor.
It is widely maintained by the state government that along with “competence and workaholic nature”, the government will be stressing on “integrity” in picking the officers. The state’s vigilance department has been asked to clear the list of officers who will be working with the CM.
While referring to an anonymous BJP leader of the state unit the media further reported that “The idea is to emulate the example of the Modi government and that is why lot of emphasis is being made on appointing the right set of officers.”
“The process of screening was on track, with the RSS and CM aides consistently chipping in” he furthers said.
