Sangrur, Punjab (June 24, 2014): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Member Parliament (MP) from Sangrur has claimed that he was not suffering from depression as was “propagated” by some sections of the media. Rather, he said, he was engaged in helping Punjabis stuck in trouble-torn Iraq.
It may be recalled that about two days back Punjab Kesri and Jag Bani released a video over internet in which Bhagwant Mann had said that he was in depression. While interacting with media-persons at Press Club Chandigarh Bhagwant Mann said that he was not the Home Minister of India, rather he was just and MP. He made appeals to Narendra Modi and Government of India to help Indians stuck in Iraq.
Bhagwant Mann had claimed that he was receiving calls from Punjabis, Rajasthanis and Haryanvis stuck at Iraq. He had said that he was suffering from depressions. Bhagwant Mann’s behaviours appeared abnormal in that video and he jumped to back seat of the car and tried to hide himself behind the seats.
In a recent video released on YouTube by “Talking Punjab” Bhagwant Mann said that he had set up a “shadow control room” with four persons who are connected to Facebook and Mobile around the clock to help “boys” stuck in Iraq. He said that around 150 persons shall be returning from Iraq soon.
Bhagwant Mann said that he was in touch with various NGOs like Khalsa Aid (UK) that are helping financially to bring back persons stuck in Iraq.
About Press Club Chandigarh incident Bhagwant Mann said that it was due to “different” style of working, and claimed that bringing such change was main agenda of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)
