Chandigarh: The Congress party yesterday (April 11) re-expelled it’s leader and former MP Jagmeet Brar from the party for alleged anti-Party activists. The expulsion came two days after expelling former Punjab Deputy Speaker Bir Devinder Singh. Bir Devinder was also expelled for alleged anti-party activities.
While showing the out door to former MP the Congress party said that he had crossed all limits of party discipline.“He was consistently speaking against our Punjab leaders, undermining the morale of the party rank and file. He has been expelled from the primary membership of the Congress,” party general secretary (Punjab) Shakeel Ahmad.
As per certain media reports Jagmeet Brar imminent exit was triggered his suspected entry into the Aam Aadmi Party at the April 13 Vaisakhi conference at Talwandi Sabo.
