Jassi Jasraj expelled from the Aam Aadmi Party for 6 years

Chandigarh: In a written release issued today the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said on Friday that it has expelled singer/actor turned politician Jassi Jasraj from the party for six years for his anti party activities.

Aam Aadmi Party, Punjab Convener, Sucha Singh Chhotepur while confirming the expulsion of Jassi Jasraj from the party for a period of six years for his anti party activities said the latter was warned many a times to mend his ways and work for the promotion of the party. However Jasraj paid no heed to his advice and party had to resort to this step to ensure discipline in the party, he added.

The party said Jasraj has been spelling out his own parallel programmes in the area without consulting either the volunteers or the senior leadership. He has also been making appointments without consulting the volunteers as well as the leadership. He was also issuing defamatory statements and videos on the social media against the senior leadership, said the party.
