Chandigarh: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal said in a written statement issued yesterday that the Punjab government had no role in blackout of Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal.
Notably, the Punjab government and the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) have been under strong criticism after the broadcast of Zee (PHH) was stopped by the FastWay cable network. FastWay is said to be under influence of ruling Badal regime.
“The Punjab Government has no role in the stopping the airing of Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal channel as this was done by the Union Government’s regulatory body on media”, reads a statement issued by Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal’s office.
