Ludhiana (August 07, 2010): The Shiromani Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) today strongly condemned daily killings of Kashmiri youth by Indian Security Forces. Harpal Singh Cheema, Secretary General, and Amrik Singh Isru informed that Supreme Council of Panch Pardhani has supported the demand of Kashmiris to exercise the “right of Self-Determination”.
In a resolution adopted, in this regard, by the highest body of Panch Pardhani, it is said: ‘Kashmiris, being a distinct ethno-nationalist group, deserves to exercise their right of self-determination’. “Indian State can’t misguide the world any more by veiling the truth by terming Kashmir issue as a Law and Order problem, which indeed it is not” said HS Cheema.
He further added: “Kashmir issue is a political issue and must be addressed as such”. Panch Pardhani has claimed that Kashmir Issue is deep rooted in bitter relationship between Kashmir and India. Current phenomena, that is strong opposition of presence of notoriously violent Indian forces in Kashmir by Kashmiris, is a corollary of this bitterness of relations, to which use of force and daily killings of youth could only add more. Now days, daily affairs of Indian Armed Forces in Kashmir are nothing less than acts of “Crime Againist Humanity” and the international community must take strong notice of current situation of Kashmir, said Amrik Singh Isru.
SAD (Panch Pardhani) has called upon all those who believe in Justice to oppose oppression of Kashmiris at the hands of Indian Forces.
