Chandigarh: Dal Khalsa’s statement criticising his controversial statement on Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan has visibly upset Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. In his statement Amarinder cities his resignation from Congress party after Indian Army’s attack on Darbar Sahib in June 1984 and his resignation from the post of MP in Lok Sabha against Indian Supreme Court’s verdict against Punjab on SYL issue in 2016 in support of his claim that he had always upheld the values that protected the interests of Punjab and its people.
Notably, the Dal Khalsa had slammed Capt. Amarinder Singh for his controversial statement that he would not meet Canadian Defence minister Harjit Singh Sajjan saying that he (Sajjan) was a sympathiser of the cause of Sikh freedom movement.
