New Delhi, India (July 2, 2014): The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) announced a welfare scheme for Sikligar and Wanjara Sikhs. The Delhi Committee has announced to open schools to provide education to the children of economically weak and socially backward families.
DSGMC president Manjit Singh G.K. announced to open industrial training institute cum professional training institute and a middle school for in Mangolpuri and Budh vihar areas.
The school and ITI would serve young generations Sikligar, Wanjarey and Lobana Sikhs of Mangolpuri and Sultanpuri localities who suffered the most during 1984 anti-Sikh genocide.
DSGMC president said that the schools and professional training institute were probmised before elections.
He further said that the DSGMC would make all efforts so that Sikh children could get education at affordable cost.
