Amritsar: The acting Jathedars appointed during the Sikh gathering at Chabba village district Taran Taran Sahib on 10th November 2015 has found at least 39 Political leaders of different political parties guilty of violating the hukamnama issued by Akal Takhat Sahib against Dera Sauda Sirsa, by seeking electoral support during the Punjab state assembly elections that were held last month.
As the ‘guilty’ politicians failed to turn up time and again at Shri Akal Takhat Sahib the ‘acting’ Jathedars held them guilty of misconduct and reportedly pronounced them “tankhaiah”. The quantum of religious punishment would be decided on April 20 for which the ”acting” Jathedars have sought suggestions from Sikh organisations and activists.
While speaking to the media Dhayan Singh Mand one of the acting jathedar said that the names of 27 leaders of the SAD, 11 of Congress and one of AAP had emerged during the investigation conducted by the three-member panel.
Those found guilty included former CM Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, former ministers Parminder Singh Dhindsa and Surjit Singh Rakhra, and Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, Varinder Kaur, Gulzar Singh, Hardeep Singh Dhillon, Didar Singh Bhatti, Darbara Singh Guru, Harpreet Singh Kot Bhai, Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, Sadhu Singh Dharmsot, Darshan Singh Brar and Daman Kaur Bajwa, reads a quote in The Tribune (TT).
