An incident of beadbi of Guru Grath Sahib is reported from village Hathoa near Malerkotla. The incident was reportedly first noticed the Granthi of Gurdwara Sahib who in early hours on Sunday (May 12) found that the lock of the gate of Gurdwara Sahib was broken and smoke was coming out from the Gurdwara Sahib.

Bargari Insaaf Morcha (BIM) organisers have announced to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Punjab. BIM leaders, led by Bhai Dhian Singh Mand announced to filed four candidates and said that its doors are open for any group, “except the Congress, SAD (Badal) and the BJP”, for an alliance ahead crucial parliamentary polls.

Sikh sangat in large numbers converged at Bargari on Sunday to mark shaheedi day of Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh (Niamiwala) and Bhai Gurjeet Singh (Sarawan), who were killed by the Punjab police on October 14, 2015.
The last Sunday (October 7) was a day of political rallies in Punjab with two major political rivals holding rallies in the home constituencies of leaders of the opponent party.
Tens of thousand of Sikhs today attended a gathering at Bargari village as part of ongoing 'Bargari Morcha' seeking action in Beadbi cases, Saka Behbal Kalan case and release of Sikh political prisoners who have completed minimum mandatory terms of their sentences.
