Chandigarh: As per the media reports the Home Ministry of India has asked the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to provide ‘X’ category security to four Punjab Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders in Punjab.
Indian Express (IE) has quoted undisclosed sources to report that intelligence report warns of possible attacks on Rameshwar Dass (Ludhiana), Pramod (Amristar,) Ramgopal (Jalandhar) and Kuldeep Bhagat (Jalandhar) has prompted the move that comes after RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja’s murder in Jalandhar.
Earlier, two unidentified masked motorcyclists had shot Jagdish Gagneja, 65, a key RSS leader in Punjab, on August 6.
According to Indian Express (IE) the CISF presence at the Delhi Office of the RSS has been increased as well. “Security personnel have been instructed to properly screen and search visitors before allowing them into the Jhandewalan office,’’ said an officer. “RSS activists have been asked to be cautious and alert. Police patrolling in the area has also been increased.’’
