Patna Sahib, Bihar (January 12, 2014): It is learnt that [a] day after the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) panel brokered peace between Takht Sri Harmandar Sahib, Patna Sahib Jathedar Giani Iqbal Singh and the management committee, the former has backtracked from the compromise.

As per media reports Giani Iqbal Singh has now put forth the demand for cancelling the appointment of Giani Partap Singh to the post of Additional Granthi.
“Takht Sri Patna Sahib management committee president Dr RS Gandhi said the Jathedar had not demanded the cancellation of Giani Partap Singh’s appointment when the agreement was signed yesterday. Giani Iqbal Singh could not be contacted” The Tribune (TT) has reported.
