Amritsar, Punjab (July 2, 2014): After Haryana Sikh leaders including Jagdish Singh Jhinda, Didar Singh Nalvi and four others did not appear at Akal Takhat to discuss matter of separate SGPC for Sikh Gurdwaras of Haryana on July 2, 2014 and sought four more days, Akal Takhat Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh formed a 10 member committee to dialogue with Sikh leaders of Haryana.
In a letter sent to Akal Takhat via fax, Haryana Sikh leaders including Jagdish Jhinda, Didar Nalvi, Apar Singh, Harmanpreet Singh and Gurmeet Singh asked for 4-days more time for presenting their view point on formation of Haryana Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee.
On the other hand, Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh constituted 10 member committee and asked Jhinda and Nalvi group to meet this panel at Gurdwara Patshahi Chhevin in Kurukshetra on Thursday (July 2, 2014) at 11:00 AM to discuss this issue. Along with this Jathedar Akal Takht has urged Haryana Sikhs not to support the issue of separate religious panel for Haryana.
Comprising Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma of Damdami Taksal, Baba Balbir Singh Budha Dal, Teja Singh MA, Sant Ram Singh Singrha from Karnal, Sant Joga Singh from Karnal, Sukhdev Singh Bhaur general secretary SGPC, Rajinder Singh Mehta member Interim committee SGPC, Karnail Singh Panjauli member Interim committee SGPC, Diyal Singh Koliyanwali member interim committee and secretary SGPC Dalmegh Singh, the panel is asked to reach Kurukshetra tomorrow.
