“We are left with no option but to uphold the death sentence of Kasab” the Supreme Court is reported to have said the Daily News & Analysis (DNA).
Dismissing all arguments made by Kasab’s lawyer, the apex court is reproted to have said that Kasab’s primary offence was waging war on India.
The Supreme Court also dismissed Kasab’s plea that he was not given a fair trial in the 26/11 terror case.
“The Supreme Court said that not providing counsel to Kasab by the government at pre-trial stage does not vitiate his trial in the case. It also said that Kasab’s confessional statement was ‘very much voluntary’.”reports DNA.
