Chandigarh: The ‘Sikh Vichar Manch’ has criticised the Narendra Modi led Central government for allegedly creating hurdles for Sikh yatris, willing to visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Narowal district of West Punjab.
In a written statement (copy available with Sikh Siyasat News) Sikh Vichar Manch maintained that now it was clear that the Modi government had opened the Kartarpur Sahib corridor out of compulsion as the government is creating undue hurdles, and thus making it difficult for the Sikh yatris to visit Kartarpur Sahib.
Conditions of online registration, passport and police verification are causing undue harassment, especially to those who are old age and are living in rural areas.
The SMV statement was released by Khushhal Singh, General secretary of Sikh Vichar Manch. It is endorsed by S. Gurtej Singh, Dr. Gurdarshan Singh, S. Jaspal Singh Sidhu, Prof. Manjit Singh, S. Amarjit Singh Dhawan, Bhai Rajinder Singh Khalsa, S. Gurpreet Singh and S. Gurbachan Singh.
