Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Orders Probe into Sikh Leader’s Killing

Peshawar: Media reports emanating form Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province of Pakistan, the KP Chief Minister retired Justice Dost Mohammad Khan has ordered investigation into the recent killing of Sikh leader Charanjeet Singh along scientific lines.

He reportedly ensured a Sikh delegation during a meeting in his office in Peshawar that members of the Sikh community would be protected.

The CM said investigation into the killing of Chanjeet Singh would be carried out along scientific lines to bring the culpable people to justice.

He also promised the payment of compensation to the heirs of Chanjeet Singh on the pattern of the Shuhada Package, notes a report ‘The Dawn’.

He reportedly assured Sikh delegation of the effective resolution of their problems and construction of Shamshan Gaat, a dispensary in Gurdwara Sahib and a separate school.

It is notable that Sikh leader and human rights activist S. Charanjeet Singh was shot dead by unidentified gunmen few weeks back.
