Sharing Queensland Senator Fraser Anning’s statement over twitter Majinder Singh Sirsa said: “This should shame all those Jihadi mindset people who have got their religion termed “Fascist” because of their rigid & violent thoughts! Senator @FraserAnning of Queensland takes a bold stand I hope the global media won’t label him a villain in their bid to protect Jihadis“.

Criticising Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Gurpreet Singh Sahota, editor of Charhdi Kala and Akal Guardian Weekly Punjabi Newspapers said: What a shame! We all were crying when a white supremacist killed six Sikhs in Oak Creek USA same way. He’s the new president of DSGMC. OMG.

In wake of widespread outrage and condemnation Manjinder Singh Sirsa even tried to offer explanation and said: “Pls read carefully. I have spoken against Jihad; not a religion in particular”.

Notably, Manjinder Singh Sirsa was echoing controversial statement of Queensland Senator while the same statemnet was condemned even by Australian Prime Minister himself.

The remarks by Senator Fraser Anning blaming the murderous attacks by a violent, right-wing, extremist terrorist in New Zealand on immigration are disgusting. Those views have no place in Australia, let alone the Australian Parliament” said Australian PM Scott Morrison.
