Sirsa, Haryana (November 26, 2012): It is learnt that Paramilitary forces have been deployed in Sirsa town of Haryana on Sunday (November 25, 2012). According to administration the deployment of Paramilitary forces would help Haryana Police to maintain law and order.
It is notable that on November 24, 2012 around 2,000 dera sauda sirsa (DSS) followers attacked some Sikhs. Dera followers burnt the vehicles and hurled stone on a local Gurudwara. In this attack about a dozen Sikhs were injured, including Baba Gurmit Singh Tirlokewala, member of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC). There are reports that Baba Gurmeet Singh Trilokiwala was so seriously injured in the attack that he has been referred to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh for treatment.

The attack by DSS followers in Sikhs took place near Valmiki Chowk in Sirsa town. Sikhs were returning after holding a meeting at a local Gurudwara Sahib.
Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) sources have revealed that all the roads leading to Sirsa have been sealed by the police and no outside vehicles were allowed in to Sirsa. It is also learnt that the services of state road transport buses to and from Sirsa have also been suspended.
Meanwhile, Sirsa continue to remain under curfew.
