Police Remand of Jaggi and Jimmy Extended; Shera and Bagga Again On Remand In Another Case

Ludhiana: Police remand of arrested Scottish citizen Jagtar Singh Jaggi was extended today by a Khanna court in case FIR No. 119/16 (dated: 24/04/2016) registered at police station City Khanna 2 more days. This case pertains to killing of a Hindu outfit leader Durga Prasad.

Meanwhile, a court in Payal extended the police remand of Taljit Singh @ Jimmy Singh for 4 more days in a case related to killing of two Dera Sauda Sirsa (DSS) followers. The police also brought Hardeep Singh Shera and Ramandeep Singh Bagga in this case from jail on production warrants and secured their police remand for 3 days.

Jagtar Singh Jaggi’s lawyer Advocate Jagmohan Singh said that he was not allowed to meet Jagtar Singh Jaggi on Thursday (Dec. 14). Earlier Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur had complained that the police had not allowed to meet him to Jagtar Singh Jaggi on Wednessday.

“I had met Jagtar Singh Jaggi at CIA Khanna on Tuesday but the police did not allow me to meet him on Wednessday. As I was out of Ludhiana to attend court hearings in Amritsar, my colleague Advocate Jagmohan Singh (who is also representing Jagtar Singh Jaggi in Khanna court) was not allowed by police to meet Jagtar Singh Jaggi on Thursday”, Advocate Manjhpur told SSN over phone.
