Two More Gurdwaras in Pakistan Opened for Sikh Sangat

Amritsar: Maiden meeting the new Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (PSGPC) was held on Thursday in which new office-bearers were appointed.

As per reports, S. Satwant Singh, from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been appointed as the new president of PSGPC while S. Ameer Singh of Punjab was appointed as general secretary.

Thursday’s meeting was chaired by Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB)’s chairman Dr. Aamir Ahmad and was attended by ETPB officials including additional secretary (shrines) Tariq Wazir and deputy secretary Imran Gondhal besides newly appointed 10 members of PSGPC.

PSGPC informed that it was decided during the meeting to open two more Gurdwaras- Gurdwara Khara Sahib in Gujranwala district and Gurdwara Choa Sahib in Jehlum districts for Pakistani Sikhs.

Government of Pakistan had notified new PSGPC on 12 July 2019. Names of new PSGPC members are as under:-

3. Dr. Mimpal Singh

4. Ameer Singh

5. Baba Harmeet Singh

6. Sarbat Singh

7. Satwant Singh

8. Dr. Sagar Jeet Singh

9. Sardar Vikash Singh Khalsa

10. Sardar Sagar Singh
