New Delhi, India (January 19, 2014): It is learnt that members of certain Sikh bodies held a demonstration outside the British High Commission in New Delhi on January 17. The demonstration was held in wake of recent disclosure of British involvement in June 1984 attack on Darbar Sahib (Amritsar).
As per media reports members of Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) and All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) led by AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad also submitted a memorandum to British High Commissioner James David Bewan.

The protesters demanded that a resolution should be passed in British parliament that aid given by the then British prime minister Margaret Thatcher to India for planning June 1984 attack on Sikhs was illegitimate.
The memorandum also asked the UK government to take responsibility for the act on its own shoulders and condemn it.
“The then British government is equally accused of committing a sin with Indra Gandhi, the then PM of India,” said Karnail Singh Peermohammad.
