London, England (July 25, 2012): Sikh Leaders in the UK and human rights activists are calling for the arrest and prosecution of Amitabh Bachchan for inciting racial hatred in 1984 which led to anti-Sikh pogroms which killed thousands of Sikh men, women, and children.

Under British law, Sikhs are recognised as a distinct race and therefore are protected by Law much like the Jewish community.

Mr. Bachchan who has carried the Olympic torch on July 26, 2012, is accused of going on TV calling for the blood of Sikhs to be spilt on the streets of Delhi following the death of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
