Kotkapura/ Chandigarh: It is learnt that the Dal Khalsa and Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) have resolved to extend support to each other’s programs announced to mark the 34th anniversary of Ghalluhgara June 1984.
Dal Khalsa leader Jasvir Singh Khandur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the decision in this regard was taken during a meeting held at Bargari village on the site of “morcha” started by Bhai Dhian Singh Mand.
‘It was decided during the meeting that the Dal Khalsa will extend support to 5 June Ghallughara Remembrance March announced by SAD (M) and the later will extend support to 6 June Amritsar Bandh announced by the Dal Khalsa’, said he.
The Sikh groups also issued a joint appeal to the global Sikh community to participate in remembrance events announced by various Sikh organisations to mark the memory of Ghallughara June 1984.
It may be recalled here that Indian army’s attack on Darbar Sahib (Amritsar) and other Sikh gurdwaras in Punjab and adjoining states is remembered as 3rd Ghallughara of the Sikh history.
Today’s meeting was attended by SAD (M) leaders Jaskaran Singh (Kahn Singh Wala), Master Karnail Singh Narike, Manbir Singh Mand, Jagdip Singh Bhullar, United Akali Dal (UAD) leader Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, Chamkaur Singh (Bhai Rupa), Sukhdev Singh (Joganand); Dal Khalsa leader Jasvir Singh Khandur, Akali Dal 1984 leaders Buta Singh Ransihke, Ramandip Singh Bhangchadi and Akali Dal Sutantar leader Paramjit Singh Saholi.
