Sikh Political Prisoners issue: Dal Khalsa want Akal Takht Jathedar to convene meeting of Panthic groups and legal experts

Amritsar: Sikh organization Dal Khalsa has asked the Akal Takht jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh to convene a meeting of the “Panthic” groups and legal experts to discuss the issue of Sikh political prisoners, specifically the situation since the Supreme Court interim order of July 9, 2014.

Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said taht the Supreme Court of India (SCI), by it’s order dated July 09, 2014 has restrained the state governments from exercising their powers to reduce life sentences.

Party spokesperson said that the SGPC or any other Sikh institution should challenge the order.
