Sikhs of Connecticut Participate in Heart Walk

West Hartford, CT: The Heart walk was organized by American Heart Association in which people in large number participated to show their support and to do fundraising for People fighting with heart disease.

The American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Founded by six cardiologists in 1924, our organization now includes more than 22.5 million volunteers and supporters. We fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies, and provide critical tools and information to save and improve lives. Our nationwide organization includes 156 local offices and more than 3,000 employees. We moved our national headquarters from New York to Dallas in 1975 to be more centrally located. The American Stroke Association was created as a division in 1997 to bring together the organization’s stroke-related activities.

Sikhs of Connecticut Participation in Heart Walk

Sikhs of Connecticut also participated in this in event to show their support and to help bring awareness among people “Who are Sikhs” with their T-Shirts and brochures.

Many members of CT Sikh association like Kulwant singh samara,Hargurpreet Singh,Maninder Singh Arora,Mr. And Mrs Amandeep Singh,Kanwaljeet Singh,Kuljit Singh Khalsa came to show their support.

Swaranjit Singh Khalsa Member Sikh Sewak Society also participated with other members for this cause and distributed everyone Sikh awareness t-shirts and brochures.

Swaranjit Singh Said these kinds of event are very powerful and brings the sikhs into limelight where they get chance to educate fellow americans about sikhi.

Sikhs of Connecticut are also planning to participate next year and wants to setup table so they can distribute free water bottle and other snacks.
