Amritsar: Acting Jathedars appointed during village Chabba Panthic gathering of November 10, 2015 have announced to “excommunicate” former Punjab police chief KPS Gill and former Indian Army officer Kuldeep Brar. A “Hukumnama” issued under the signatures of Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, Bhai Baljeet Singh Daduwal, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala, Bhai Jagmit Singh and Bhai Major Singh holds Kuldeep Brar and KPS Gill responsible for human rights abuses.
‘Kuldeep Brar and KPS Gill were declared Takhaiyas during the November 10 Sarbat Khalsa for their respective roles in attack on Akal Takht Sahib and Darbar Sahib and for carrying out genocide of the Sikhs by eliminating the Sikh youth. They were asked to appear before the Akal Takht Sahib but duo failed to do so. Therefore, as per the Khalsa traditions, duo are excommunicated’, reads the edict.
