It is notable that in 2008 the Sikh organizations had launched a morcha against the opening of Dera Sauda Sirsa (DSS) branch at village Nangal Kurd near Kot Dharmu (Mansa). The police had registered a case under sections 148 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Defense council Akashdeep Singh told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the court acquitted all 11 persons framed in this case by the police after listening the arguments put forward by the defense.

While talking to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Akali Dal Panch Pardhani (ADPP) press secretary Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur now four cases are pending against Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, of which two cases are at Ludhaina and one case each at Jalandhar and Mansa. He said that Bhai Daljit Singh was being repeatedly framed in false cases because of political reasons.
