SGPC has resorted to use of force against Sikhs who were staging a peaceful dharna outside the SGPC's head-office demanding registration of case against "main culprits" in missing Saroops issue. Dharna was started yesterday by various Satikar Committees.
A meeting between representatives of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satikar Committees did not reach any conclusion on Monday (September 14).

Arrested leaders of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee were reportedly sen to Kapurthala jail after their police remand expired two days back. Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khosa and Gurmeet Singh Sodhi were presented in the court of Kapurthala's Judicial Magistrate Indu Bala by police of Talwandi Chaudhrian police station. The court sent duo to Kapurthala jail on judicial custody till 23rd May.
District Kapurthala police has arrested Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satikar Committee head Sukhjit Singh Khosa and Gurmeet Singh Sodhi of Kabirpur from Malerkotla.
The matter of beating up few professional Granthis who were involved in facilitating Akhand Paath of Guru Garnth Sahib in violation of an edict of Akal Takht Sahib has reportedly reached Akal Atkhat Sahib.

Sirsa/Mansa, Haryana/Punjab (November 24, 2012): According to various media sources curfew was imposed in Sirsa town of Haryana on November 24, 2012 after incidents of arson during a clash between Sikhs and followers of Dera Sauda Sirsa (DSS).
