Death hoax of Gurbaksh Singh hits whatsapp; Family discards rumors, says he is fine

Ambala/ Chandigarh: Death hoax of Sikh activist Guraksh Singh Khalsa today hit social messaging network ‘whatsapp’ as someone circulated a fabricated photo with a false news of death of Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa.

It came to the notice of Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that many users were engaged in forwarding this message believing it to be true. An investigation by SSN team revealed that most of the people engaged in forwarding the message over wahtsapp were not aware about the source/ credibility/ reliability of the news.

‘I received it (photo and news) form a friend and I believed it was true’ said a whatsapp user. Later he admitted that even his friend (who had sent him the photo and message) was not sure about the correctness of the contents.

Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) talked to Jujhar Singh, son of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, who confirmed that his was alive and his condition is stable. “My father is at hospital in Ambala and his condition is stable. His health is improving now” said Jujhar Singh, who also expressed ignorance over hoax about death of his father being circulated over whatsapp.

‘I am not aware about it, but it is being circulated there, I want to clarify that it is incorrect. I request sangat to pray for speedy recovery of my father’, said Jujhar Singh.
