Death sentence to Prof. Bhullar: All Party Joint Meeting on 30 May

Ludhiana (May 29, 2011): Various Sikh bodies are going to hold an urgent joint meeting at Ludhiana to discuss the future plan of action to oppose proposed execution of Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar.

Bhullar’s review petition has recently been rejected by President of India. This decision has sparked a strong wave of resentment among Sikh circles across the globe.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) led by Bhai Daljeet Singh Bittu has convened a joint meeting of all Sikh bodies, including SGPC and DSGMC, political parties, Farmers’ Associations, Students’ organizations, Human rights bodies and intellectuals.

“Our purpose is to bring all concerned bodies and individuals at single platform, so that some joint course of action comes out” informed Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur, Panch Pardhani’s media committee member.
