SAS Nagar, Pubjab: Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa has reportedly written a letter to Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) president Avtar Singh Makkar urging him to identify the place with in Gurdwara Amb Sahib complex in Mohali where he could start him hunger strike after Bandi Chhor Divas.
Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa had observed hunger strike for 44 days in November-December 2014 to secure release of six Sikh prisoners who were languishing in Indian jaila even after completing minimum mandatory terms of their sentence.
But Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa had ended his hunger strike after release of 4 Sikh prisoners on parole.
He recently declared to start a “decisive struggle” to secure permanent release of concerned Sikh political prisoners. He says he would sit on indefinite hunger strike after Diwali if Seven Sikh political prisoners namely – Gurmeet Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Shamsher Singh, Lal Singh, Waryam Singh and Gurdeep Singh and Prof. Devenderpal Singh Bhullar are not released from jail.
