Hospitalized Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s condition stable, says doctors

Ambala/ Chandigarh: Doctors of Civil Hospital, Ambala yesterday told media that the condition of Sikh activist Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa was stable. He was reprotedly hospitalized by the civil administration of Ambala on January 09 after Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa developed breathing problems on 57th day of his indefinite hunger strike. He was on hunger strike since November 14, 2014.

Sources said that Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s family members, including his son Jughar Singh, and the Sikh sangat present at Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib decided to seek hospitalization for Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa after doctors monitoring his health recommended immediate medical assistance and hospitalization for him.

Representatives of various Sikh organization reached Ambala to meet Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa.

Harbhajan Mann meets Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa in Hospital

Punjabi singer- turned actor Harbhajan Mann and Punjabi actor-cum film director Amitoj Mann also visited him and inquired about his health.

Meanwhile, in wake of hospitalization of Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, another Sikh named Gurpiar Singh has started hunger strike at Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib seeking release of seven Sikh political prisoners who have served mandatory term for the sentence of imprisonment for life.
