On 17 August 2024, a Panthic seminar took place at Gurdwara Sahib Guru Tegh Bahadur in Leicester, UK, with the attendance of many distinguished personalities. During the event, Bhai Mandhir Singh (Panth Sevak Jatha, Doaba) addressed the congregation, sharing his insights on the challenges faced by Sikh vote politics in Punjab. He elaborated on the decline of Sikh vote politics due to changing circumstances, the transformation in leadership, the significance of Morchas, and the shifting focus of the movement. He also highlighted the concern that Sikhs are drifting away from their Panthik traditions, adopting westernized methods for selecting their leaders and shaping their future. He emphasized the need to recognize this temporal cycle, to rejuvenate Panthic traditions, and to ensure proper education for the youth to keep them connected with Sikh heritage. This, he suggested, would enable them to integrate into a cohesive society and adhere to the guidance of the Guru. Listen to this and to share it with others.
