Amritsar/ Tarn Taran: The Khalra Mission Organisation (KMO) and Punjab Human Rights Organisation (PHRO) have demanded probe into properties held by Dera Radha Soami Beas and other deras in Punjab. In a written statement issued today (copy available with SSN), KMO and PHRO representatives maintained that the Dera Radha Soami Beas has illegally encroached over the lands of farmers.
These human rights groups have also condemned the Punjab government for arresting Baldev Singh Sirsa and others who had initiated a legal and public struggle against Dera’s encroachment over farmers’ land. KMO and PHRO has demanded immediate release of Baldev Singh Sirsa and his associates.
Without naming anyone, these human rights groups said that Dera Radha Soami should not be allowed to turn into a shelter home for culprits of fake encounters in Punjab.
