This highest temporal seat was being misused since long by their political masters but this incidence has exposed their misdoings. Commenting on demand for the removal of Jathedars, the leaders said that not much can be expected from the new appointees unless a procedure for their Qualification , appointment , issuance of edicts, their retirements is developed . The participation of entire Sikh nation must be made mandatory through different means in such appointments.

They expressed anguish and sorrow at the increasing incidences of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib. They said that the initial delay in finding the culprits and than letting loose reign of terror and firing at peaceful Sikh protesters has encouraged the bad elements to continue such sacrileges.

They demanded the immediate release of Dal Khalsa leader Kanwarpal Singh and Sikh Youth of Punjab President Paramjit Singh along with Gagandeep Singh (District President) and two others immediately . When the Jathedars has taken back their edict after realizing their mistake there is no reason to keep them in judicial custody who were peacefully opposing it.
