California, US (November 19, 2013): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), human rights bodies and Sikh groups such as Sikhs for Justice and All Indian Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) have kicked a world-wide signature campaign in support of “Sikh Genocide 1984” complaint that was filed with United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) on November 01, 2013.
As per information the signature campaign was started on the eve of Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji and it shall continue till the hearing of complaint by the UN body. According to Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) UN Working Group on Communications may deliberate on the complaint in its upcoming 2014 session.
On November 17, SFJ and AISSF reportedly held the signature camps in various Gurdwara Sahibs in 20 countries, including United States of America (USA), Canada, United Kingdom (UK), Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Holland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Nepal, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
