Chandigarh: Victim families of Gurgaon massacre of November 1984 appeared before the Garg Commission in April 30. One member Garg commission was setup by the Haryana Government to probe November 1984 massacre of Sikhs in Gurgaon (Haryana). It is notable that 47 Sikhs were massacred in Gurgaon in November, 1984. The massacre was part of Sikh genocide of 1984.
Justice TP Garg held this hearing in Hissar. The victims cum survivors of the Gurgaon massacre told Garg commission that they were deneid justice during last three decades.
The victims Gurdial Singh, Sewa Singh, Harveer Kaur, Kuldeep Singh besides others explained to Justice T. P. Garg that how their houses and shops were burnt by the Hindu mobs. ‘We nurtured our families under very poor conditions and nobody helped us’ they added.
It is notable that the Haryana Government had extended the term of Garg Commission by six months and asked it submit its report on Gurgaon and Ptaudi genocide as soon as possible. Leaders of Hondh Chillar Coordination Committee were also present at the time of hearing before the Commission.
