UK bodies to protest against Indian High Commission in support of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh

Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa begins hunger strike at Ambala (November 14, 2014)

Birmingham, UK: Federation of Sikh Organizations (UK) has come out in support of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who has been on hunger strike since November 14 at Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib (Ambala). Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is seeking release of seven Sikh political prisoners who remain confined in various jails in India despite having completed their jail terms.

FSO (UK) declared to hold a peaceful demonstration outside Indian High Commission in Birmingham on December 30 to press Indian government to release Sikh political prisoners.

FSO (UK) leaders Bhai Joga Singh, Kuldip Singh Chaheru, Loveshinder Singh Dallewal and Kulwant Singh Dhesi said that in wake of the fact that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is surviving only on water for last 45 days, UK based Sikh bodies decided to hold a demonstration outside Indian High Commission in Birmingham to support his demands.

FSO (UK) leaders said that the demonstration will be peaceful and Sikhs from various parts of UK will participate in this two hours (1pm to 3pm) demonstration on 30 December.
