Sikh Hijackers Case: Dark Side of Indian Justice System: Talk with Dal Khalsa leader Kanwarpal Singh

Chandigarh: Five Sikh political activists hijacked a plane on 29 September, 1981 to protest against arrest of Sikh leader Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and killing of 19 Sikhs in Police firing at Chowk Mehta on September 20, 1981.

All five persons were granted life imprisonment for the hijacking by a Pakistani court and they served the sentence. Satnam Singh, one of five persons, had even got discharge certificate from a Delhi court in this case as he had already served the sentence.

But the Delhi police have filed a supplementary challan (fresh charge sheet) in a Delhi court on 29 Sep 2011 under sedition charges and now a Delhi court is set to resume trail in this case on July 31, 2017.

Sikh Siyasat editor Parmjeet Singh talked to Dal Khalsa leader Kanwar Pal Singh about this case. This is full video recording of the talkshow.
