Sikhs Protest against Indian Minister Kamal Nath; Forced to move the Round Table Session

London (September 28, 2010): On the visit of Indian Minister Kamal Nath's visit to London, Sikh Federation ,UK today organized a successful protest outside the Crowne Plaza Hotel in St. James (45-51 Buckingham Gate, London SW1E 6AF) between 11am and 3pm.The motive of Kamal Nath's visit to London was to attend a Round Table Session on Highways Infrastructure at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Student delegation approached BCI to alter decision discriminating against Punjabi

New Delhi (September 28, 2010): Students of Punjab, under the banner of Sikh Students Federation, approached the Bar Council of India at New Delhi to oppose the decision of BCI that has allegedly resulted in discrimination against Punjabi Language.

Dal Khalsa holds 2 day political training camp for its office bearers

Amritsar (September 27, 2010): The Dal Khalsa held a two-day political training camp at historic gurdwara of Fatehgarh Sahib for its office bearers to do introspection, to streamline party’s functioning, to update their knowledge on geo-political situation and to evaluate the tasks ahead. The message to the youth was to demonstrate courage, resolve and steadfastness.

Bhai Sukha-Jinda to be remembered on 10th October

Jandiala/Amritsar (September 26, 2010): Bhai Sukhdev Singh and Harjinder Singh, commonly known as Bhai Sukha-Jinda, shall be remembered on 10 October, 2010 at Village Gadhli, near Jandiala Guru in Amritsar District of Punjab. Duo were sentenced to death for assessinating former Army chief of India, Arun Vaidya, who headed the Indian Army in June 1984, when Sri Darbar Sahib (Amritsar), also known as the Golden Temple, was attacked by it.

Human Rights Group raised “Sikh Genocide” issue with US President

Philadelphia (September 20, 2010): In the wake of President Barack Obama's upcoming visit to India in November 2010 during which he will also visit Golden Temple, a delegation of "Sikhs For Justice", a human rights advocacy group met President Barack Obama on September 20, 2010 in Philadelphia to apprise him about the "Sikh Genocide".

Sikh Genocide 1984: Trial to continue against Sajjan Kumar: SCI

New Delhi (September 20, 2010): The Supreme Court today refused to quash the charges of murder and other offences against senior Congress leader Sajjan Kumar. The Court has maintained that the trial will continue against him in a 1984 Sikh Carnage case.

U.S. Court orders trial against Indian Minister Kamal Nath for his role in 1984 killing of Sikhs; Trial to Begin on September 22

New York (September 07, 2010): Today, Honorable Judge Robert Sweet of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York issued an order in the case against Kamal Nath, Indian Minister for Roadways, asking the parties to appear in the court on September 22, 2010 for a pre-trial conference to discuss "settlement, exploring contemplated motions, stipulating facts, arranging a plan and schedule for all discovery and setting a time for trial".

Law Students approached Education Minister on Punjabi Medium Issue

Akal Takhat Jathedar Solicited U.S. Law Makers’ Support For Recognition of “Sikh Genocide”

New York (30 August, 2010): Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh while addressing the "Sikh Genocide" conference in New York declared that killing of Sikhs in 1984 was "Genocide" because it was a planned effort to eradicate Sikh religion. Jathedar who specially came to New York to address the conference organized by "Sikhs for Justice" solicited the support of US law makers to help the Sikhs in persuading the United States government to recognize the Sikh Genocide.
