California, US (June 12, 2011): As per Amrik Singh's special report published by "Examiner.Com", Stockton's historical Landmark 'Pacific Coast Khalsa Diwan Society' hosted a press conference on July 10, 2011 to campaign against death penalty to Professor Davinderpal Singh Bhullar. Sikh religious societies and human rights organizations participated in the meeting. Professor Bhullar's mother Mrs. Upkar Kaur was a special invitee.

SC notice to centre and Delhi Government, implies temporary stay on execution of Prof. DPS Bhullar

New Delhi (July 11, 2011): The Supreme Court of India, Monday, issued notice to Centre and Delhi Government on a writ petition filed by the wife of Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar, whose death sentence execution was cleared by President of India on 26 May, 2011.

Sikh bodies constitute 1984 memorial panel

Jalandhar (July 08, 2011): Though once again welcoming the formation of the five-member panel by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parabandhak Committee (SGPC) to decide about space and shape of the June 1984 Memorial, the Panthic organisations on Friday claimed that the SGPC has done little in this regard — The panel was constituted on June 8 and was scheduled to submit its report on August 8 but is yet to hold a meeting.

Fatehgarh Sahib openly speak up against proposed execution of Sikh Professor

Fatehgarh Sahib (July 06, 2011): Fatehgarh Sahib has turned to be first district of Punjab to fully and firmly stand up in favour of clemency for Professor Devinderpal Singh Bhullar. All the 428 village Panchayats and four municipal councils, besides 57 other recognized bodies in the district have adopted resolutions seeking clemency for Prof. Bhullar. Bhullar's clemency petition was rejected by President of India on 26th May.

Sikh Genocide case: Kamal Nath attempts to find escape route, denies the service of summons

New York (June 30, 2011): In an attempt to find an escape route Indian Minister Kamal Nath, who is facing allegations of genocide and other international crimes, in a US court, in a tort suit, has denied the receipt summons in this case. Kamal Nath through his attorneys has filed answer to the summons issued by Judge Robert W. Sweet of the US Federal Court for the Southern District of New York.
