Ludhiana, Punjab (November 30, 2012): According to information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) former president of Akali Dal Panch Pardhani Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu and British National Jaswant Singh were brought to Ludhiana from Maximum Securit Jail (Nabha) and Kapurthala Jail respectably.
Chandigarh/Punjab (November 30, 2012): There are reports Ajay Devgn's recent Hindi movie “Son of Sardar” has entered 100 Crores club. Two days back on the eve of Guru Nanak Sahib's Parkash Gurpurb Ajay Devgn tweeted: “A happy gurupurab to all. What a day for Son Of Sardaar to cross 100 Crores on guru nankjis birthday! I am blessed! Thank u every1:)”.
Jalandhar, Punjab (November 29, 2012): Joining the international community in observing 29 November as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People in accordance with UN resolution 32/40 B, the Dal Khalsa has also expressed its solidarity with the people of Palestine and their struggle for statehood.

Paunta Sahib/Ludhiana, Uttrakhand/Punjab (November 28, 2012): According to information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), around 700 Sikhs including Panthic Sewa Lehar leader Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal, All India Sikh Conference leader Bhai Gurcharan Singh Babbar, Uttrakhand Punjabi Kranti Morcha leader Kanwar Jupinder Singh, were prevented by Police from entering Uttrakhand State. Later on they were arrested by Sehaspur Police on the orders of SDM Sri Tripathi and SSP Dr. Jagdish Chand.
Amritsar, Punjab (November 28, 2012): Guru Nanak Sahib's Parkash Gurpurb was today celebrated by the Sikhs across the globe. In Punjab, Guru Sahib's Gurpurb is observed in almost all Gurudwaras. Amritsar, Punjab (November 27, 2012): There are reports that Uttrakhand Governemnt has deployed heavy police force to prevent Sikhs from going to Haridwar. “Sikhs heading to Haridwar for the three-day birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev, beginning November 27, at a spot near Har ki Pauri […] may lead to a standoff with the Uttarakhand Police deploying forces in and around Haridwar to prevent any law and order problem”.
Chandigarh/Bathinda, Punjab (November 27, 2012): According to information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) SGPC Member from Sirsa constituency Baba Gurmit Singh Tirlokewala is undergoing treatment at PGI, Chandigarh. His condition is improving gradually and it is expected that he shall be from hospital in coming days.
Sirsa, Haryana, India (November 17, 2012): According to reports, curfew was relaxed in Sirsa on November 26, 2012. The curfew was relaxed for 12 hours, from 6am to 6pm. People come out of their houses during the relaxed hours and made necessary purchases.

Let me make it clear that I am not going to discuss the controversy surrounding dialogues or scenes from Ajay Devgn's recent release “Son of Sardar”. Because this issue is largely discussed in media and Sikh circles and many would agree that the controversy is almost over.
Sirsa, Haryana (November 26, 2012): It is learnt that Paramilitary forces have been deployed in Sirsa town of Haryana on Sunday (November 25, 2012). According to administration the deployment of Paramilitary forces would help Haryana Police to maintain law and order.
On November 20, 2012 a special court in Ludhaina, Punjab (India) invoked a draconian law named Terrorists and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act, short named TADA, to sentence 12 Sikhs to 10 years rigorous imprisonment in a 1987 case.
